Atsuko "Ako" Shigihara, LMT, NCTMB, CDT/MLD, AMTA member
Ako blends Western with traditional Japanese techniques to facilitate healing and to help soothe and relax her clients. Ako attained the level of “Master” from the Gendai Reiki Healing Association in Japan. She is also certified by the Norton School in Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT), including Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD), and in pregnancy massage. Ako combines these modalities and a variety of other methods and techniques such as positional release, Swedish massage, and deep tissue work into the session to best meet each client's needs. Ako is a graduate of the Potomac Massage Training Institute, is nationally certified and licensed in DC, and is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association. She is fluent in Japanese.
 
Aulat "Omni" Lawal, LMT, NCTMB, ABMP
Aulat "Omni" Lawal is an experienced massage professional with clinical and therapeutic experience. Lawal practices a number of massage modalities including Swedish, deep tissue, reflexology, and sports massage. She has a background in physical therapy and nursing, and is nationally certified and licensed in the District of Columbia. She is a member of the Associated Bodywork Massage Professionals (ABMP). She graduated from the National Massage Therapy Institute.
 
Calvin Wilson, LMT, NCTMB, AMTA member
Calvin Wilson, a DC native, graduated from the National Massage Therapy Institute in early 2008. He is well-trained in Swedish and deep tissue massage. He plans to grow the energetic side of his practice, with plans to study Reiki and other holistic modalities such as hot stone massage.
 
Elizabeth Hegedus-Berthold, LMT, NCTMB
Elizabeth has been practicing massage therapy since 2003, after graduating from the American Institute of Massage Therapy in Kailua, Hawaii. There, she studied the traditional arts of lomi-lomi and Hawaiian temple bodywork from native teachers. Elizabeth is nationally certified and has worked with hundreds of clients over the last eight years, including dancers, athletes, nursing home residents, prenatal clients, and people with disabilities and chronic illnesses. She was also a therapist for the official US Olympic Triathlon trials. Elizabeth practiced massage in Arizona for seven years before moving to Washington, DC in 2011. She is currently pursuing a master's in international economics and law at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. Elizabeth speaks Spanish, Russian, and Italian.
 
Isabel Aurora Ramos-Castillo LMT, NCTMB, CDT, & AMTA member
Aurora is a graduate of the Potomac Massage Training Institute. She tailors sessions specific to client needs combining various modalities in one session to aid in healing. She is trained in Reiki, myofascial release, manual lymphatic drainage (MLD), deep tissue, Swedish, and pregnancy massage. Additionally, she is a Norton School certified lymphedema therapist able to work with cancer survivors and people suffering from edema using complete decongestive therapy (CDT). She is nationally certified and licensed in DC & Maryland, and a member of the American Massage Therapy Assocation.
 
Jamilah Chambers, LMT, NCTMB
Jamilah graduated from Potomac Massage Training Institute in 2009 where she was trained in Swedish and deep tissue techniques. She has a positive and enthusiastic attitude, and loves helping people. Her goal is to provide excellent patient care, and to continue to develop her skill in massage therapy. She is nationally certified, and licensed in Washington DC.
 
Lisa Wilder, LMT, AMTA member
Lisa Wilder is a Usui Reiki Master and has 20 years of experience working in the health care field. She is a body worker that brings compassion and intuition that creates a holistic session, to promote wellness of the mind, body and spirit. She uses Craniosacral Therapy, Sound Healing, Raindrop Therapy, Reiki, Table Thai Yoga, Crystal Healing, Therapeutic Touch and Guided Imagery to relieve pain, stress, insomnia, anxiety, arthritis, fibromyalgia, pre and post surgery, orthopedic dysfunctions, PTSD, pre and post pregnancy (postpartum), TMJD, whiplash and so much more. She is a graduate of Potomac Massage Therapy Institute and a member of AMTA.
 
Nahila Ghafur, LMT, NCTMB, ABMP Member
Nahila Ghafur is a graduate of the Potomac Massage Training Institute. She incorporates a variety of modalities including Swedish, deep tissue, and myofascial techniques during each session to bring about deep relaxation and relief to sore muscles. She also has advanced training in hot stone massage and reflexology.
 
Nancy Meaker, MA
Nancy Meaker is a Brennan Healing Science Practitioner, a specialized form of energy healing. Her approach to healing and personal transformation is holistic, focusing on you as a unique, complex, dynamic being of mind, body and spirit. She completed the rigorous 4-year training at the Barbara Brennan School of Healing (BBSH), a leading school in the field of energy work, with schools in Miami, Europe and Japan. BBSH trains practitioners to combine hands on healing with deep psych-spiritual/transformation work. She holds a Master?s degree in International Education and works in international development, implementing programs which empower young adults in the developing world. Prior to coming to DC, she worked at the Omega Institute for Holistic Studies in New York State for six seasons where she was able to learn from some of the world's leading teachers in personal development, spirituality, and yoga. It is her intention to bring embodied presence and compassion to her clients in order to help unfold their healing and discover their true path and self.
 
Pamela Moyer LMT, NCTMB, ABMP & AMTA member
Pamela combines a variety of massage techniques and modalities to meet the needs of the client: Swedish, deep tissue, neuromuscular, myofascial therapy, Trager, stretching, and more. She believes the client plays a huge role in their own wellness and encourages the client to actively participate in their own health, and to take time out for themselves. Mind and body should work together as one, and to heal the whole. Her background is in Communications Science and just prior to becoming a massage therapist, she worked on environmental conservation issues. After working in the corporate and nonprofit sectors, she decided to go back to school to study massage therapy, and graduated from the National Massage Therapy Institute. She is nationally certified and licensed in DC.
 
Tina Ang, LMT, AMTA, NCTMB
An experienced and intuitive therapist, Tina Ang believes massage therapy is a bodywork craft that provides clients with a sense of balance in the body and mind. Tina provides deep tissue, Swedish, and hot stone massage modalities with traditional Thai massage techniques. Her goal is to ensure that the client gets a quality experience that reduces stress, pampers the body, and calms the soul. In addition to graduating from Potomac Massage Training Institute, Tina attended the International Thai Massage Institute (ITM) in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Tina is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) and is nationally certified and DC licensed.
