Atsuko "Ako" Shigihara, LMT, NCTMB, AMTA member
Ako blends Swedish and deep tissue with traditional Japanese techniques to help soothe and relax her clients. Also trained in Reiki and lymphatic massage, she combines these methods into the session as well to best meet each client's needs. Ako is a graduate of the Potomac Massage Training Institute, is nationally certified and licensed in DC, and is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association. She is fluent in Japanese. |
Bethann Brennan LMT, NCTMB, AMTA member
Bethann graduated from of the Potomac Massage Training Institute in February 2004. She is a certified yoga teacher and has been teaching yoga since August 1999. She also holds certification in Reiki levels 1 and 2. Her massage technique combines Swedish and deep tissue styles and incorporates her knowledge of movement from yoga through stretching, as well as her background in energy work through Reiki. Sessions focus on relaxation of the whole body, both physically and energetically, to find more space and peace. |
Calvin Wilson, LMT, NCTMB, AMTA member
Calvin Wilson, a DC native, graduated from the National Massage Therapy Institute in early 2008. He is well-trained in Swedish and deep tissue massage. He plans to grow the energetic side of his practice, with plans to study Reiki and other holistic modalities such as hot stone massage. |
Christian Brewer LMT, NCTMB, ABMP member
Christian is a graduate of the Virginia Learning Institute in Falls Church, Virginia. She performs Swedish, deep tissue, and sports massage techniques. She is also certified in pre-natal and Thai Yoga massage. Using her knowledge of Thai Yoga massage, Christian incorporates stretching into each table massage session to suit the client's needs that day. She has a sixth sense in rooting out the sources of pain and tension in a client's body and bringing about the relaxation and relief they seek. |
Deborah Roemer, LMT, NCTMB, ABMP member
A DC area native, Deb Roemer developed her bodywork skills by practicing on her mother and receiving from her father before going professional in 1996. A graduate of PMTI, Deb's interest in the mind/body connection brought her to Visionary Craniosacral Work with The Milne Institute. Her work is heart centered therapy while also focusing on muscle, bone, fascia, fluid and the brain. Intuition guides Deb as she attempts to create space throughout the body. Her techniques and styles may differ from person to person, as she and her clients gently reach deep levels by working with breathing and focal points. |
Gabriela DeAnda, LMT, NCTMB, AMTA Member
Gabriela DeAnda has been practicing massage therapy since 1998. She received her Associate's Degree in Occupational Studies from the Swedish Institute in NY and is also a graduate of the Potomac Massage Training Institute in DC. Her experience in diverse settings - 5 star hotels, chiropractic sports settings, hospices - have made her into a compassionate, professional and therapeutic therapist. Each massage therapy session is approached as a partnership with each client. She draws from various modalities, but specializes in deep tissue techniques, incorporating Eastern (shiatsu) and Western techniques (myofascial) to lengthen shortened contracted muscles and create space for joints and bones to move more freely. |
Lisa Wilder, LMT
Lisa Wilder is a Usui Reiki Master and has 18 years of experience working in the health care field. She is a body worker that brings compassion and intuition that creates a holistic session, to promote wellness of the mind, body and spirit. She uses Craniosacral Therapy, Sound Healing, Raindrop Therapy, Reiki, Table Thai Yoga, Crystal Healing, Therapeutic Touch and Guided Imagery to relieve pain, stress, insomnia, anxiety, arthritis, fibromyalgia, pre and post surgery, orthopedic dysfunctions, PTSD, pre and post pregnancy (postpartum), TMJD, whiplash and so much more. Montez Teferi, LMT
A graduate of The Swedish Institute in NYC, Montez has been a licensed massage therapist for over 12 years and has studied various bodywork styles, including classical Swedish massage, shiatsu, prenatal and Thai massage. Her yoga experience includes practice in India, New York, and Washington DC where she completed her first teacher training. Various styles, alignment techniques and breathing exercises are incorporated for stress reduction, better posture and improved flexibility. |

Nahila Ghafur is a graduate of the Potomac Massage Training Institute. She incorporates a variety of modalities including Swedish, deep tissue, and myofascial techniques during each session to bring about deep relaxation and relief to sore muscles. Nancy Meaker, MA
Nancy Meaker is a Brennan Healing Science Practitioner, a specialized form of energy healing. Her approach to healing and personal transformation is holistic, focusing on you as a unique, complex, dynamic being of mind, body and spirit. She completed the rigorous 4-year training at the Barbara Brennan School of Healing (BBSH), a leading school in the field of energy work, with schools in Miami, Europe and Japan. BBSH trains practitioners to combine hands on healing with deep psych-spiritual/transformation work. She holds a Master's degree in International Education and works in international development, implementing programs which empower young adults in the developing world. Prior to coming to DC, she worked at the Omega Institute for Holistic Studies in New York State for six seasons where she was able to learn from some of the world's leading teachers in personal development, spirituality, and yoga. It is her intention to bring embodied presence and compassion to her clients in order to help unfold their healing and discover their true path and self. |
Pamela Moyer LMT, NCTMB, ABMP member
Pamela is a graduate of the National Massage Therapy Institute in Falls Church, Virginia. Her massage incorporates a variety of techniques: Swedish, deep tissue, neuromuscular, myofascial therapies and stretching to meet the particular needs of a client. She first experienced the therapeutic benefits of massage first hand as a client herself. After working for years in the corporate and non-profit sectors, she decided to switch careers and provide relaxation and healing touch to others.
